From an early age Luci Lou was interested in drawing and painting. As a teenager in Sao Paulo, Brazil, she wrote and illustrated fanzines and  newsletters for the record shop she worked, printed t-shirts and created artwork for album covers. At this point she was sharing the shop space with a tattooist from whom she learned the first steps of her craft (even thou she was too young to even be allowed to be in a tattoo shop!).

After obtaining her degree in Graphic Design she left Brazil and spent a few years in Argentina and Mexico where she worked as a graphic designer and receptionist at some of the best local tattoo studios.

Upon relocating to London, Luci had the opportunity start an apprenticeship at New Wave Tattoo, one of the most  respected old school shops in the UK, and she has been tattooing ever since.  She has now settle in the lovely seaside town of Brighton, and works at Angelic Hell Tattoo.

Her work is bold yet delicate, favouring floral designs and nature, still influenced by Japanese art and a more illustrative style. And colour, loads of colour!
